Google Sheets
Frontivo.io creates a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive, called Frontivo.io - your business name. The Leads tab gets a row for each new lead, and the Appointments tab gets a row each time a booking is made, changed or cancelled. It works on every plan, with a free Gmail account or Google Workspace.
- 1Open Integrations in your dashboard and click Sheets & email marketing in the list on the left.
- 2Click the Google Sheets tile, then Connect Google Sheets on its card.
- 3Choose the Google account where you want the sheet saved.
- 4Tick the box that lets Frontivo.io see, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app, then click Continue.
- 5Wait a few seconds while Frontivo.io creates your sheet and brings you back.
- 6Click Send test row.
- 7Click Open your sheet and look for the test row at the bottom of the Leads tab. You can delete it.
Frontivo.io can only reach the sheet it made, never your other files. If you disconnect, the sheet stays in your Drive with all its rows.
Before you add leads to email marketing
Mailchimp and Klaviyo come with Growth. Only new leads who leave an email address are added.
Privacy laws in many countries (like GDPR in Europe) say people must agree before you send them marketing. The safest choice in Mailchimp is Send them a confirmation email first. Frontivo.io never sends emails or campaigns for you.
Mailchimp
- 1In Mailchimp, click your profile icon (top right), then Profile.
- 2Click Extras, then API keys.
- 3Click Create A Key.
- 4Type Frontivo.io as the name, then click Generate Key.
- 5Click Copy Key to Clipboard, then click Done. Mailchimp shows the full key only once.
- 6In Frontivo.io, click Connect Mailchimp on the Mailchimp card.
- 7Paste the key and click Next.
- 8Choose your audience.
- 9Choose Send them a confirmation email first (recommended), or Add them as subscribed only if you already have their permission.
- 10Click Connect, then click Send test.
New leads are tagged Frontivo.io and with where they came from (for example Phone or Web chat). People who unsubscribed before are never re-subscribed.
Klaviyo
- 1In Klaviyo, click your organization name (bottom left), then Settings.
- 2Click API keys.
- 3Click Create Private API Key.
- 4Type Frontivo.io as the name.
- 5Choose Custom Key, then set Lists to Full Access and Profiles to Full Access.
- 6Click Create, then copy the key. Klaviyo shows it only once.
- 7In Frontivo.io, click Connect Klaviyo on the Klaviyo card.
- 8Paste the key and click Next.
- 9Choose your list, then click Connect.
- 10Click Send test.
Each new lead becomes a Klaviyo profile (email, name and phone) in the list you picked. Adding someone to a list doesn't mark them as agreeing to marketing emails, so check your list's consent settings in Klaviyo.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect on the card. Frontivo.io deletes the saved key or Google access. Your sheet, audience and list keep everything already added.
Troubleshooting
Google won't let me click Continue
Tick the box next to the Google Drive permission first. Frontivo.io needs it to create your sheet.
New rows stopped appearing in my sheet
Check you didn't rename or delete the Leads or Appointments tab. Rename them back exactly, then click Send test row. If the card says Needs attention, click Reconnect Google Sheets.
It says the Mailchimp or Klaviyo key doesn't look right
For Mailchimp, copy the whole key including the end part after the dash (for example -us21). For Klaviyo, use the private key that starts with pk_, not the 6-character public key.
Klaviyo says the key doesn't have enough access
Keys can't be changed after they're made. Create a new private key with Full Access for Lists and Profiles, then click Reconnect Klaviyo.
A lead isn't in my audience or list
Only leads who leave an email address are added. In Mailchimp, if you chose the confirmation email, look under Pending: they're added once they click the link.
I can't see Connect Mailchimp or Connect Klaviyo
Email marketing comes with Growth, and only people allowed to connect apps can set it up. Ask your account owner.
